It is with great sadness that we must report that Cynthia and Tony Reavell have decided to wind down the Tilling Society. It was formed in 1982 by Miss Fay Hodges and shortly afterwards handed to the Reavells. For many years now Cynthia has suffered with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and she now feels she is unable to continue running the Society.
Despite the sad demise of the Tilling Society, we are pleased to say that the Friends of Tilling, who organise an annual Gathering to celebrate the world of Tilling and its creator, E F Benson, continues to grow from strength to strength. The E F Benson Society also continues to flourish. It's aims are "The furtherance of the knowledge and appreciation of the Benson Family and in particular E. F. Benson, and to provide an opportunity for Benson enthusiasts to meet." For details on the E F Benson Society, please see: | ||||
